There are usually three things that can prevent you from logging
into the Warranty
Processing system, and the first two generally cause the third.
If you get stuck
on the "Loading Warranty Processing System - please wait"
screen, close the
screen by clicking on the "X" in the upper right corner
of the Warranty Processing
screen and do the following:

Your security "cookie" may be corrupt. To reset your
cookie, click on the
"Reset Security" button on the screen, then click
on the "Warranty Processing"
button on the COM_Net Main Menu bar. You will be asked to re-enter
your
Customer number and your password.
Remember, if your normal COM_Net password starts with a number,
you have to
put an "x" in front of the password. For example,
if your COM_Net password
is "12345", you have to enter "x12345" to
access the Warranty Processing
System.

Make sure you have the Java options turned on in your Browser.
The Warranty
Processing system is written in Java, and requires full Java
capability.
For some reason, certain web pages appear to turn off the Java
options.
To check this, do the following -
If you are using Internet Explorer, click on Tools, click
on Internet Options,
click on the Advanced tab. Slide the bar about halfway down
the box, looking
for either "Java VM" or "Microsoft VM".
There should be 3 boxes. All 3 boxes
must be checked. If you have to check them, you probably should
close and
restart your browser to make the changes take affect.
If you are using Netscape, click on Edit, click on Preferences,
click on the
word "Advanced" (not the "+"). Make sure
all boxes labelled Java are checked.
Click on OK. It should work.

If you attempt to logon and fail too many times, our internal
security systems
will disable your user-ID. This can be prevented by doing #1
and #2 shown
above when you have problems. The only way to get your security
reset is to
call Customer Service and ask for Bob Deskevich, Dale Gindlesperger,
or the
IT Operations desk. One of us will be able to assist you. If
you have to
leave a message, please leave your dealership name and customer
number to
speed up the reset.
